Default Melex 2011 48v AC cart with 1268 Curtis Controller

Hi

We have a Melex 2011 48v AC cart. The key was left in the on position overnight, since then the cart moves forwards and in reverse but extremely slow and after a few meters just stops. You can hear the contactor falling out. You can switch it off and back on again, hear the contactor kick in and the cart will move again but slowly, repeating the process of stopping after a few meters. It had a fault code saying it was the pot overvoltage, checked it and even replaced it, but still same prob. We then sent the controller away to the Melex agent here in South Africa and he said he had repaired it and tested it in a cart and said to working fine, but after fitment it still does the same. Any idea if it might be the speed sensor on the bearing inside the motor that has been damaged from standing in the 'on' position all night? and is there a way to test the sensor? It has 4 wires running into the bearing, maybe also for temperature? It has a separate set of two wires running to further down inside the motor.

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Never mind, replaced the bearing with the speed sensor built in, and cart going again. So a note to everyone: DONT leave your AC cart on over night....
