Wanted GE got Alltrex
When I ordered my motor from PQ I told him I wanted what they used on their carts GE. Well got the controller Friday and he sent me Alltrex (which was stamped D&D). I'll call tomorrow and see what's up with that. I could of gotten it direct myself if that was the case. Also got the 400 amp Chinese solenoid. The coil terminals are tiny and it scares me to think connecting to that and wondering if it will hold up.
So what should I do, keep what he sent me or send it all back? Maybe GE didn't have a controller 500A for the IQ system? Sorta aggravating. I also don't like the adapter board on the controller, exposed. This stuff need to hold up, what would you do? |

Re: Wanted GE got Alltrex
There's nothing wrong with Alltrax. Never had a problem with them
When connecting the small terminals on the solenoid do not over tighten them, it will snap. I snug maybe a quarater turn more hand tight. I use a deep well socket to tighten by hand |

Re: Wanted GE got Alltrex
Thanks for the input, I'll call and talk to Rick about it regardless but I'll probably stick to what he sent. Next time I'll make it a point to specifically order exactly what I want, just wanted to help the sponsor out and buy it as a package.

Re: Wanted GE got Alltrex
Just got off the phone with Rick, he said Robby used the Alltrex because it works better with the IQ system and the motors they build, he said the past issues have been resolved and this is the best option.

Is it possible for you to open the programming and let us know how it is set?

Re: Wanted GE got Alltrex
I'd like to get into it, Robby configured it for the torque motor they are building for me. I haven't the time to really look at it, is there a port I can get to without it being on the cart? I glanced at the manual briefly but don't remember. I didn't get the motor yet, that should be in soon.
