Re: FnR assembly cover
It was designed to have a sealed environmental cover over it. It is susceptible to dust and moisture damage.

Re: FnR assembly cover
well I don't drive mine in the water and if I happen to get caught in the rain, well I'm going to get more wet then my F&R seeing as how the seat covers it......in the last 2 years I have never had an issue.....

Re: FnR assembly cover
I see you are advising him to not put the F&R cover on, are you also advising him to cover the F&R when washing the cart or hosing the battery tops off?

Re: FnR assembly cover
Not at all......if he use's his cart out in inhospitable environments, by all means take every precaution to cover and protect the electronic and connections.....that last thing any of us want is to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere......and you know as well as I do....if/when it breaks down.....it most likely will NOT be as you are pulling into the drive way.....but at the furthest you have ever been in your cart!! LOL

Re: FnR assembly cover
If he doesn't cover the F&R while washing his battery tops as so many BGW members do and he hoses down the micro switches then he will likely be stuck not running in the driveway...if he's not lucky.
I've been out on may service calls for cart not running only to find water in the micro switches. I think keeping the switches dry was the logic behind the seemingly not needed F&R cover. |

Re: FnR assembly cover
VERY TRUE......me being the way I am.... I do not get water anywhere near any electrical equipment if at all possible.
Even when I wash my cart, the OUTSIDE that is....a hose is never used. I put the soap and water in a bucket and hand wash it.....then dry it with a towel. |
