I see the carsandcameras duo bought the ebay sourced asian diesel. Like many of the youtubers found the quality of this unit to be questionable. BUT it will be interesting to see what they do with it.

I'd love to slap one in my lawnmower if I can get a 20-24hp v twin. It would save me a lot of fuel. Problem is I put a new engine in when I got it and not like I am going to wear it out lol. Diesel takes a lot less fuel in a mower. I think one would work in a cart, put HS gears in, not sure how great it would be. It might stink. I need to catch up with those guys but way busy with more important things.

The GF and I went to the newly reopened Bayside restaurant this a.m. We both had the eggs benedict crab cakes. They used no filler crab cakes Yum. Not many places serve really great crab cakes that get Ray approval. The new owner has some courage opening up here this time of year with the population being so sparse.

While I was down in the garage today I pulled Vicki's magnetic dip stick. There was a VERY fine black sludge covering much of it. I suppose since not being run for quite some time the magnet SLOWLY attracted iron based particles from all over the crankcase.

I checked the magnetic dip stick again today and it had some more very fine black sludge on it again. It will be interesting to see if it ever shows none.

Pulled the mag dip again today. Still some but a very small amount. I guess with the oil dead still the magnet is going to attract every millimicron of iron based particles.

I just started messing with my 460 today as I have been slakn...
Measured my bearing clearance, spot on.
Took out the counter shaft bearings as I’m not going to install it.
Some say it’s worth 1hp or more “ BUT WHOEVER READS THIS, ITS FOR A RACE SETUP I AM DOING, NOT FOR A DAILY DRIVER IN A GOLF CART” please do not remove it....
Started porting the short radius side on the head and exhaust area.
Debating how much I should get the head milled next.
Debating if I should upgrade to the stainless valve & dual spring setup from NR.
I have the single 60# springs from NR.

Your post or someone else’s makes me think should I replace those rod bolts or keep the ones it came with. Have you seen anyone post failures with them bolts?
