2016 Yamaha g29 wiring help
Bought this cart a few weeks ago. Was supposed to only have bad batteries well turned out the motor was burned up. Commutator was messed up because the brushes were seized. Got a deal on used motor two older style solenoids and a moric controller. The cart is running now just make a weird low level electrical whine when solenoid clicks on. Did it with old motor also even though it hardly moved. Thats not a big issue but would like to solve it as its not normal. This cart has a replacement controller in it. Says fisp sx controller. I just need to make sure the wiring is correct as there is a wire thats unplugged. Looks like its a factory wire on the tow switch. Instead it has a wire coming from the resistor and solenoid. See pics attached. The Anti rollaway feature doesnt work quickly or sometimes not at all where my other g29 slows down right away. Not sure if that helps. I was just going to throw in the other used controller i got to see if it fixes it. Hope someone can help. Thanks

Re: 2016 Yamaha g29 wiring help
You wrote you've got a Moric controller and then the cart has a Fsip? Controller shown on pictures looks like my GE controller, found in a '07 Ydre. I was told, it's a stock G22 unit with the harness adaptor. Not sure, if that will fit a 2016 model.

Re: 2016 Yamaha g29 wiring help
Yeah the moric came with the used motor i bought. The ge is whats in the cart. I had read they used these as replacements in the g29? It has a harness adapter. Im about to remove it and replace with moric and see if that fixes issues. I bet the electrical noise is being caused by incorrect wireing. Not sure what previous owner did to this cart. My fault for trusting him and not looking more closely. Differential cover was all bent and ground away on bottom. The bottom bolt looked like someone took a grinder to it. Driving over curbs or something. Got it fixed up though. Thankfully i can fix anything so i will come out ahead on deal with only the sacrifice of some time.

Yes, possibly the standard replacement... If you would spend some $$$, take an Alltrax controller instead of the Moric. Much better and fully adjustable by the user. More speed / torque also

Yeah i am. Im going to sell the moric and the ge and buy the alltrax and tune it down and use original motor till it goes or i feel like spending more money.
