Default Fairplay LSV needs more SPEED

I purchased an EVE-- LSV because of the great tax credit my state offered. This brand of this cart is Fairplay. I've searched endless hours on Fairplay and it seems they are the b@sT@rd cart for aftermarket options. Right now the top speed is about 25 mph and I really want to increase that to around 40. The local cart man is looking into having the motor re-built by I assume D&D. He thought this might get my up to 38 mph on the stock controller. Does anyone have any advice on how to up my speed? Or the steps I need to take to achieve 35-40mph?

http://www.evelsv.com/LSV/electric/eve_delux.html

Specs on the cart are:
Fairplay High Speed Motor- Made by D&D Motors
Class H Rating and 3665 RPM's
48 Volt Cart

Curtis Controller
400 AMP SEP EX

Jiachen Electric Footpedal PLEASE HELP

An LSV cannot erxceede 25mph per the requirements for an LSV. There may be a few things that can get you a couple MPH, but all the way to 40?? Not ever going to happen... You're not going to find much of anything aftermarket for your cart...

Congrats on the new cart. I have seen a few Fairplays and they seem like an OK cart and very well priced. With the $4000+/- credits out there, it makes them even more attractive. My local dealer has the Fairplay EVE for around $2700.

LSV's are pretty much humped to their capacity for handling at about 28mph and no dealer with any integrity will touch making it any faster for liability and safety reasons.

Anytime you exceed the 25mph barrier you are subject to all the safety features an automobile has like shoulder belts, air bags, guard beams in the doors, safety glass, 5 mph impact bumpers etc.

I could see a motor rewinder making another motor for self installation but I don't understand any cart mechanic installing it for a customer, the liabilities are just too great. On a side note, you may want to check his insurance status.
Also, any mods you make are bound to affect your warranty.

As far as accessories go, it is a Chinese knock off of an EZGO or Club Car so some things may fit but unless your dealer has specific Fairplay accessories, it's a crap shoot as to what might fit your cart.

Yes the credits are nice, I should be into this cart for around $35.00 if our state tax credit is ever going to be accepted. I realize that to be classified as an LSV and fall into the credit it must not exceed 25 from the factory. But I would feel safer if it would at least keep up with the flow of traffic. Besides I do like to go fast. And thanks for your responses.

If I could get one for that kind of number in California, it would be in my garage already. So, the state is kicking in an additional $2500+/- over the Federal $4000+/- rebate?

The state of Oklahoma is offering a tax credit to cover 50% of the purchase price and the federal credit is I believe 4 or 5,000.
