I too want to run the same test but not sure how to get a WOT without lifting the rear tires off the ground?

You will need a trusty assistant. One will drive and one will record the meter readings.

You need to put a load on the motor in order for it to demand high amperage.

The safest way to do that is to drive the cart.

Try to use the same environment and driving condition as much as possible for each test so they can relate to each other.

The higher the amperage running through the system the easier it will be to spot problem areas.

If Your meter does not have a Min/Max function, then I agree that an assistant will be the safest and most accurate way to do it.

I think is good to say it again, Never run a Series motor at WOT when there is no load (IE. Wheels off ground).
