2003 ccds no torque?
Hi guys, 2003 ccds utility cart, 2015 batteries checked with load tester checked good, 48 volt, at controller the pedal switch goes from around 8000 ohms to fully pressed around 1200 ohms, voltage out of controller when pedal pushed reads about the same as battery voltage fully depressed. Cart has no muscle to it at full pedal, I can run faster....especially into the wind.400 amp controller-and 3.1 hp motor all stock.....any suggestions? customer says with ladder and tool boxes on it fully charged in morning it is sluggish...

Re: 2003 ccds no torque?
Well 48v is 50% so putting under load it probably drops to 41 with ladders and stuff and will struggke to move. Charge it up.
throttle input is pretty far off and not getting full power. Maybe cycle the mcor 50 times and clean the contacts at mcor if no improvement then contact tahoedawg to see if he can help or order new mcor |

Re: 2003 ccds no torque?
1100 ohms is 100% on an MCOR throttle device. I'd say that a different motor may be a good option here. There are plenty of good motors out there. You've got a 400 amp controller already, but the factory motor can't do much with the extra power you're providing to it. I recommend a heavy duty solenoid and at least 4 gauge cables throughout the entire system if you're gonna run a controller that big.

Re: 2003 ccds no torque?
sorry guys, looking upside down at all numbers, it is a 300 amp controller. Tried new set of trojan batteries, had same result just flat out not much power to it, new mcor, same thing going to take controller off and have it tested as i do not have one like this.
