Fleet RXV Rear Suspension Modifications
Good afternoon, folks. I'm looking for any information y'all might be able to share regarding modifications you've made to the gas RXV's rear suspension to improve ride quality, to prevent bottoming out, or just because you're a hobbyist.
This is some preliminary research that I'm doing as part of a university team tasked with improving the ride quality of the Fleet RXV - in particular w/r/t the rear suspension. We've got some ideas already in mind which range from beefier mono-leafs to coil-over-shocks to a helper spring, but we're also thinking about things like putting a suspension in the seat, changing the seat material, changing tire material, changing ride height, changing leaf material, etc. What kind of work have you guys done? How has it fared for you? Do you have part number and manufacturer information for your modifications? If you made the modifications some time ago, how have they stood up to extended use? Do you own a competitor's cart (Yamaha, Club Car), and if so, what do you like/dislike about the ride quality of those cars compared to the RXV? Let me know. Thanks for the information, guys!
