Ezgo is No go
Hey Forum,
From what i can tell. I have a 82 marathon with gx444 engine. So.. Background. Cart ran well all last year and the beginning on this year, then this.. Seems like it has everything but wont move! I push the throttle and hear the click. The starter engages and fuel pump seems to work ( took hose off inlet to carb with pedal depressed and fuel pumped out. ) I took the spark plug out and touch to frame and have spark New spark plug and new 100:1 gas mix. Took the carb off and made sure everything was clear and no holes in the float. Seems like the needle to seating when i lift up on float myself to stop gas. If i stay on the gas it will come out the overflow line. Exhaust has puffing pressure and air intake will pull suction on my hand Battery is 12.5V Replaced the ground wire from battery to frame cause it looks old and frayed It is cloudy today. Not sure what other details i can give lol |

Re: Ezgo is No go
Sounds like gas is getting into the carburetor, but can't get out.
Take the carb off. Remove the bowl. Turn the bowl upside down, and look at the cross drilled nut that holds the bowl on. There is an orifice in there that needs to be removed, and cleaned. You also need to see if the cross drilled holes are being blocked by the gasket, or the edge of the bowl. My brother caved in his bowl a little, and those holes were completely blocked. Gas came out the vent hole. |
