I feel you, I was like a kid with my new crimp tool!
The place where I got mine from had the bigger crimper for not much more money

^ I like that style of crimper better. Less chance of "over doing" it and breaking the crimper.

i solder all mine and even made the (2) ends with 1/8 hole for the f/r switch on my series DS

^ I have and I considered it for this project. In the end I decided to go with the crimper as I feel it was easier for me and all of the data I have researched pretty much shows that crimping in this manner and soldering are about equal in quality and longevity.
