2014 precedent speed
hope I,am posting this right. I have a 2014 cc precedent 6 inch lift 23 inch tires that runs 16 mph, will this magnet I see advertised take this cart to 19 or 20 mph? ser. num. is JE1409-441914, it uses the E.R.I.C. charger I,am guessing that it is set to speed code 3 now. Thanks

Re: 2014 precedent speed
They do trick the controller, but you lose the regen capability of the cart. I still prefer going by and having speed code 4 placed in it ($80-$100) so I do not loose any factory capabilities. (I look at it like "cracks" for programs 10 years ago - it was a workaround for the designed limitations and you still lost out on something)

Speed magnets do not work on Excel carts.

Re: 2014 precedent speed
Save the $100-125 for the code upgrade which only gets you to 19MPH (stock tires) and invest $400-$450 on an Alltrax XCT300 or XCT400. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/speed-...ion-info-.html
You can thank me later. |

Re: 2014 precedent speed
And more..... If the money doesn't matter, absolutely do it. And if you plan on upgrading down the road, go ahead and get a 500 amp so you have room to grow. (It can be programmed for your factory motor)

Re: 2014 precedent speed
that will more than do it 20 mph is what our retirement community restricts carts to, although a few will run faster. is this conversion basically bolt in? no major revamps of anything else? will the eric charger work with it? thanks all

Re: 2014 precedent speed
I have a bone stock 2006 DS that runs 19 to 20 mph on level ground with speed code 4 but not much more going down hill because of braking. It does slow going up hills.
I been looking at the alltrax controller for more torque and more speed, but I was expecting speeds around 25 mph |
