Default LED light bar wiring for 48v TXT

Hey all. First post (and new to the golf cart world)

I just got a 48V 2013 TXT factory refurb. I am wanting to add a 12 inch LED light bar to the front brush guard (has an S4 body). How complicated is the wiring? Do I need a reducer for just this one light or can I safely tap into a battery?

Thanks and I look forward to posting and learning new stuff on this forum.

Do you have 4 - 12V batteries pack?
Or 6 - 8V batteries? If this, you can't connect a 12V accessory such as lights. Its 8V battery.

Drawing from only one, may unbalance the pack.

Search about Accesories in the forum.

I recommend you get the converter or reducer as mentioned above. Make sure it's 48V to 12 V.
Then you may want to add a fuse block and a negative buss bar. So you have some free ones for the future, as in example a USB phone charger or similar.

Like these: note you can have a fuse block with negative bar in one.

It has 6, 8V batteries.

The shop is delivering the cart this week. It may have a converter installed as I got a Kicker Bluetooth stereo put in. Will I be able to tap into that?

I wanted to do this LED light bar on my own to save some money and just to give myself a little bit of a project.

Thanks for the help guys!
