Want to change the buzzer sound
Just got my first ever golf cart! I'm pretty excited about it!
My only issue is the backup buzzer! I see here how to tape it to quiet it down, so that is good. I don't want to disconnect it. I understand the importance of having it there. I'm thinking there must be some sort of small speaker I could use to play my own tune in addition to the (muffled) buzzer. My other half wants an ice cream truck sound. That always gets peoples attention! I looked at Backuptunes.com, but that's not really what I am looking for. I'm hoping to tap into the vast amount of knowledge here instead of re-inventing the wheel, so to speak! Thanks in advance! |

That is very cool.
A little bit pricey, but still very cool. Thanks for sharing, Aflyer |

Re: Want to change the buzzer sound
I have been considering this for some time too. I have an Auburn themed cart and would like to have the fight song play when I back up. The first problem is easily resolved- the voltage will have to be changed from 36 or 48v to 12v since nothing is really designed for it. I did see a build thread on here where a BMW chime was used in this manner.
You would also then have to amplify the sound, which made me think of the car alarm systems that allow that. What about using something like this? It would even double as a PA for Karaoke night in the cart. https://www.viper.com/car/accessorie...e-voice-system |
