Electric cart jerks and won't move
Hey guys! I'm a noob to golf carts, and this is my first post. Thanks for letting me on the forum! Anyway, down to the nitty gritty. I have a 95 electric club car that won't go. I have 4 12V, 850CC batteries in it. The 6 8V batteries were too expensive. When I push the gas pedal, in forward or reverse, the cart jerks and won't move. I have checked the voltage on the pack and it is reading 50.1V. My dad helped me check the solenoid. He had the manual open while we were testing and he said everything looked like it was where it was supposed to be. We bypassed the OBC last night and it didn't make a difference. I don't remember actually hearing the solenoid click though. I will try to feel it when I get home. I had the back end up on jack stands, and when I pushed the pedal, the wheels would move maybe an inch. Has anybody else had this issue, and how did you fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Electric cart jerks and won't move
If the solenoid doesn't click, the On-Board computer has probably failed. Locate the solenoid and you'll see a small yellow wire attached to one of the small terminals of the solenoid. Get a jumper wire with alligator clips on both sides of it. Clip one end of the jumper wire to the post of the solenoid with this small yellow wire. Clip the other end of the jumper wire to the B- negative post of the motor controller. This is the wire where all of the black wires come together. Attempt to run the vehicle with the jumper in place. If the vehicle runs, replace the Onboard computer.
