Motor install
My cart is sitting at a cart shop. The shop has installed over 2,000 motors in the last 20 years. Over that time, they have only seen what is happening to mine a handful of times. One side of the install is flush and the other side has about an 1/8 gap. So, the motor will not seat properly. It is a new motor. Could it be the new motor itself? If not, is there a way to determine how to make it flush?

Re: Motor install
My Guess (that's all we can do from here) is that the armature has slipped out of the bearing.

Re: Motor install
Picture would help, for the armature slipping out of place, you want someone that knows electric motors cause if not you can screw up the bushings or brushes too.

Re: Motor install
Another guess would be a bent input shaft on the rear-end. Could happen easily to someone that has never pulled a motor before. You need to make sure to support the weight of the motor as it is coming off. You can look at the input shaft and make sure it is square to the housing.

Re: Motor install
One thing to check, on the armature on the end of the shaft were it goes in to the output shaft on the differential they have a hard rubber isolator, check to make sure it not crooked or there are two instead of one.

Re: Motor install
Good because splitting that case is a PITA. Sounds like a motor problem then probably. Good luck I think these guys are on the right path.
