best way to separate the motor from the differential?
I'm ready to pull the motor and rear end from the cart and want to do this "right".
How do they separate and are there any tips from experience folks can give? Should I lift the motor out and then pull the rear end or can I roll the whole rear end out with the motor in place? |

Take the motor out first.

What is the best sequence to remove the motor? It looks like there are 3 mounting bolts. Anythings else?

This is posted in the gas section but I suspect you are asking about an electric cart...
Disconnect the main + and - battery cables Tag and remove the cables Remove the motor When the trans-axle is removed with the motor on it it tends to do a nasty flip when released as the motor is the heaviest part. |

Re: best way to separate the motor from the differential?
i take the motor and cradle out together.
there is 2 u-bolts that connect the cradle to the rear axle the the single motor mount in the front that has the rubber in it. the front is just one blot that goes thru the mount. raise the cart up off the motor and cradle |
