Default G1 won’t run ?

Friends 84 g1 won’t seem to run . I’ve got good spark . Pulled the hose from the fuel pump to the carb and verified it’s getting a good amount of fuel to the carb . Next I did a compression test with a snap on compression gauge , it’s reading 125psi. So we assumed the carb was probably the culprit . For 20$ I got a new carb and installed it , also made sure the air adjustment screws were set correctly .
Now I’m stumped ,the cart won’t run, fires but won’t run . Anybody have a suggestion on what I should look at next ?

You are probably losing engine vacuum so, even though your pump is getting gas to the carb, there isn't any vacuum to draw the gas from the carb into the chamber. Make sure your reed valve is ok, it's located between the carb and the cylinder. If that looks ok then your crank seals probably need replaced.

Lochlin, thanks for chiming in . Is there a way to chec the crank seals for leakage ? I don’t see any oil spray around the fan or clutch side . I’m planning to look at the reeds this weekend . Thanks again .
