G22A Tune up/service
I recently purchased a 2003 G22A cart from a friend who assured me he had regularly serviced the cart. However after checking the battery I found it to be almost dry. I did manage to top it up and charge it overnight and bring it up to a full charge (not sure if it is going to last). So now I’m going to give it a full service fuel filter, air cleaner, oil change, spark plug etc. Is there anything in particular I should be looking at?

Re: G22A Tune up/service
Look for Part number "LUB-GCCRB-MT-KT". It's a whole kit from Yamaha in a box that clearly says Yamaha on it. Included is spark plug, oil, drain plug gasket, fuel filter, air filter, and air filter pre-cleaner. Accept no substitute, the China garbage doesn't even fit in the air box correctly.
Not too surprised the battery was low, the charging system charges kinda "hot". They expected the cart to be driven 200 feet, stopped while you hit a funny white ball, then driven 200 feet. Not exactly a lot of time for recharging a battery |
