Underseat subwoofer????
Looking at putting in a new sound system for the Yamaha Drive. Wanting to pair up a combo I haven't seen yet. Has anyone installed the small compact underseat self powered subs? Wanting to try one with a Noam system. speaker or 2 speaker. Not sure if battery for gas golf cart could handle the 2 amps or sure what it would sound like????? THANKS for ANY advice and inputs

Re: Underseat subwoofer????
not sure where under the seat you could put anything. there is a lot of heat from motor and exhaust. probably not gonna last very long. i have speakers on both sides of the F/R handle. Where exactly are you thinking?

Look into Bazooka party bar. They have a newer version as well. Its compact-ish. Different lengths, bluetooth, waterproof, led lights. Google some pics of it on a golf cart. Or just the original bazooka sub but it's kinda big. Might be something you consider. Worth a look.

Re: Underseat subwoofer????
I wanted a soundbar but local stereo shop was trying to talk me out of it. Wish I could hear one in person to see if it's loud enough. My 10 year old wants that soundbar because the lights look cool. I want it to sound good. We've gotta compromise somewhere I guess. HA HA

Re: Underseat subwoofer????
I hear ya. My buddy has been asking me about a sub on his cart for years. He hasn't commited to anything yet but that's what I showed him. I believe the amp is inside it. The 1st gen didn't get very good reviews on Amazon but the 2nd gen had good reviews but kinda pricey. Not a great place to put one either. Except hang it from the roof and run wires through the roof support. I wouldn't put it in the engine bay.

You will absolutely not be satisfied with a sound bar. A set of 6x9s with an amp is cheaper and better every time. So build from that idea. I'm also not just someone throwing **** out there. I have helped build Rockford fosgates sound vehicle a few different times

Re: Underseat subwoofer????
where do y'all install speakers on the Yamaha carts? They seem limited on space compared to other makes. Liked the look and reliability of the Yamaha so went with it. Didn't realize how many more aftermarket accessories EZ Go has compared to it

Re: Underseat subwoofer????
Not sure where your looking but yamaha has pretty much anything you could ask for. Speakers can go on aftermarket dashes like the others. In the top. Each side of F/R handle. What are you looking for

Re: Underseat subwoofer????
I completely agree with Drift. An amp and real subs will always sound better. I'm not sure what Yamaha has for aftermarket speaker option placement. All mine are ezgo. I have mine hanging from the roof but that's because I use them on trails and going through mud so I need it all to stay dry. I have two 5 1/4 fosgate speakers and they have a little bump but sound great. Does your cart have a utility box on the back by chance? You could do something like my marathon but put a big sub and amp under the box in the Bagwell. Here's some pics. Just an idea you could run with and make your own.
Last couple is just speakers on roof and rockers to run everything and make sure it's all completely shut down so it doesn't kill the battery. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

Re: Underseat subwoofer????
I’m no expert or sound buff. I’ve got the bazooka party bar on my cart and I love it! I think it sounds great. It’s clear and plenty loud. The LED lights make it look pretty cool too. Especially when mounted from the roof.
