Default 2008 Precedent moving slow

2008 Precedent, new 60ah Allied lithium batteries, ran fine first week after installing new batteries. Now it won't go over about 9 mph.

Drove about 3 miles yesterday...wouldn't go over 9 mph the whole time.

Batteries show plenty of charge.

Battery cables have been checked...don't feel hot or anything...are secure.

What are possibilities? MCOR? Controller? Obviously batteries could be a possibility, but as I said they are showing great charge/voltage.

Sounds like a bad speed sensor...

Speed sensor or magnet, or the solenoid has welded closed.

Any quick checks to know if it is the solenoid?

Quickest is the listen for it to click when you press the Go pedal. It should be pretty loud click in the rear of the cart behind/below the drivers seat.

You can also check voltage on the large posts of the solenoid. With the cart off you should have about 0.5 to 1.5v with your meter probes on each post. If the meter reads 0v on the large posts the solenoid is probably welded closed, and it should be tested further. Sometimes a smack with a screwdriver handle will knock the bridge loose and get it to work properly again, but it's only temporary and the solenoid should be replaced.

If you get approx 1.5V across the large posts, Turn the key on, select F or R, and press the pedal just enough to get the solenoid to engage, you should hear and feel it clunk, and the voltage should drop to 0 indicating the bridge has closed in. The solenoid is working properly and your problem is elsewhere.
