Yamaha g8 governor help please
So I bought a Yamaha g8 and I’m a little confused on how the governor works trying to bypass it or something I just want all the speed I can get lol. Please help and thank you for your time!

On the front page of the Yamaha section there are "stickies" at the top, a lot of good info there.

Most golf cart governors work the same way, but the hook ups might be a little different. Bypassing the governor means you run a cable from the accelerator pedal straight to the carb. That will give you max speed. The governor just remains unhooked. *Words of caution when doing this: 1. there will no longer be a speed regulator, going fast is dangerous 2. the engine will now run at a higher rpm, engine damage can occur 3. the governor parts might become disconnected and damage transmission |
