Default lift kits

Working on my 98 DS.. I'm considering a lift kit just for ground clearance. From what I see the 6" kits are little or sometims less cost that 3 or 4" kits. I do not ready want to change my wheel size so I'm thinking that I will have to use spacers behind the wheels for clearance on the spindles.

Has anyone ever measured how much the lift kit alone widens the front suspension? I'm looking at a arm systems not long travel

I would say a 6" A-arm lift bumps each hub out a couple inches. So you're wanting to run your stock wheels with larger tires?

The kit itself does not gain any ground clearance. Rear dif is still going to be exactly the same distance from the ground - that's your low point. The difference comes from the bigger tires that the lift kit can allow.

I understand that the diff height only changes with taller tires. I'm looking at chassis clearance for getting over obstacles without getting high centered. I want to keep the existing tires because taller tires reduce the tourqe available and I'm using this cart in hilly areas
