Broken serial pin alltrax axe
So while attempting to plug in a serial to usb to program my friend’s alltrax axe controller, one of the controller’s serial pins broke off. Is there a possible fix?

Have you tried it once the pin was removed? It may not be a pin that was used.

I did, and the laptop couldnt “find” the controller. The top has 4 pins, and the bottom has 5. It’s the bottom left pin. Not sure if that helps anyone. Don’t want to buy another controller over this : (

If I remember that pin is data carrier detect so definitely needed. If the pin broke on cable side just replace the adapter.

The controller side should be the receptacle side and the cable has pins. You broke the receptacle? Or the pin is still in it?

If you read the side of that connector it says gender changer. Get a pair of needle nose pliers and pull that out. There is another plug below it.. Either replace it or get a adapter with the correct pins. Should look like below..
