1979-81? yamaha g1 service manual

hello to you all.
i am in need of a service manual for a 1979-81 yamaha g1 gas 2 cycle.
i have tried online in many places but ...no luck. i am using the cart at work
and am desperate to get it running again before winter. i work grounds for a museum
and they are as broke as everyone...so they can't spring to repair it.
whatever anyone can do to help will be greatly appreciated. i will gladly
pay what i can for the info...thank you....roger. the problem is that when it runs
forward it breaks up and backfires and then runs ok and then breaks up again.
when in reverse it runs ok, no problems.... thanks again....roger

Hi it sounds like an electrical problem to me, as a starting point you could pull the spark plug out and crank the cart in forward and visually check spark and then again crank it in reverse and see if there’s a noticeable difference between the two. You could also open the gap up on the spark plug which would make any weakness more noticeable.
