The attached isn't for a 9700, but the wiring diagram ought to be pretty close.
All of the automatic chargers of this type, work about the same. They're laid out differently and use different components, but they all fit in the same block diagram. AC input Control board Ferroresonant Transformer Diode board Ammeter Fuse(s) Output Cable Hope this helps.
