Default Jumping from buggie battery?

Have a small little rain storm coming through right now (TS LEE). Just went and checked my genny and the darn thing has a dead battery. It's a standard little 6v lawn and garden battery - can I just jump the genny off of one of the buggie batteries until I can get a new one?

I've heard that there are car dealers that tap into a couple of their cart batteries to jump the cars on their lot.
Personally, I wouldn't make a habit of it, but once or twice probably wouldn't upset the apple cart too much.
Problem it causes is an imbalance in the battery pack.
If the generator didn't catch on the first try, I'd switch to a different battery for subsequent tries.

We used to carry a 12 volt to 110 ac inverter on our cart to the steel rack to run a grinder. I've jumped things off before. Like Jonnieb said, I wouldn't make a habit of it but you can do it.

If your cart has a Run/Tow switch, I would switch to "Tow" before jumping.

Sure your generator is a 6V? Most I am familiar with are all 12V! By the way I have jumped my generator from my cart before. I just charged those two batteries I used in the cart with an automotive charger. No problems at all!

I'll check again when I get home but almost positive it is a 6v - 13.5kw genny - I like my A/C :)
