We've checked all of the connectiOns. Good continuity on all of the wires. How do you check the gap? How can I check the charge coil? Anyone have any used parts I can buy?

Checking the pulsar coil (unplug the white/red and white/green wires "can be done at the CDI/harness location, but checking at the wireharness connections out of the engine also will tell you if your harness is bad"), with a volt meter, you should have 14ohms +/- 10%. Also check for continuilty (either wire) to ground, there should not be any. Charge coil-disconnect the brown and black wires, should read 350ohms +/- 10%, also check continuity to ground, there should be none. Hope that helped alittle.

My 82 g1 has the same no fire situation but mine checked oddly on the red/white and green/white tested open when the switch was in forward or reverse. Where do I look?
