Checking batteries the right way

Scottyb....did load test. 16+hours off charger at rest pack at 50.1inder load 49.3. Tested each battery at rest 8.2-8.3....under load 7.3-7.6. Drove car around for15 min abdpack inder load still 40.3. I don't thinks its battery problem......your thoughts. maybe speed controller??? what would be next in line for troubleshooting?

By slow/sluggish, have you been able to speed check with gps on a flat run yet? Could be speed sensor, or MCOR/V-glide issue also, seeing that batteries seem ok . . .

I think you have a battery problem, here's a chart to show you, 8.2 is dead, they should show this after 20 miles of riding, not fresh off the charger, 50.1 is only 80% charged not good

Scottyb........ran tests u suggested above.
at rest after 16+hours off charger battery pack was 50.1; under load dropped to 49.3.
Didtest on each battery and at rest ranged 8.1 - 8.2; ubder load 7.3 - 7.6ran cart for 15 minutes and battery pack was 49.6.
Based on this looks like batteries are OK. what is next step in troubleshooting.

I would say thay we still need to find out if it is MCOR or V-Glide? It looks like for a 2001, it could be either one. There will be different advice depending on which one. Dont jump on the controller yet.

Ladditude, have you figured this out yet? I have an 02 club car 48V and I am having really similar issues. Right off the charger it will go like it should and then literally within 5 min (or less) there is hardley enough power to pull itself along. Just had it hunting 1 month ago and it was fine...?? All batteries are reading 8.4 after a full charge....

I've got similar problems as whitetail, was running fine 2 weeks ago, rode it 6 miles to my dad and back, now it runs great right off the charger, but within a mile or so it gets bad sluggish, seems like the batteries ar fine, took the cover off the vglide an sprayed it down with carb cleaner to clean the contacts, hope this will help, so far it has, but time will tell, new at all this

where is the V Glide located ? I can't even find it.... 02 club car.
