Hanny,
Now that I am on my home computer I can now see your pics. Looks pretty good. I am posting mine also as an option - especially for the Precedent folks with the plastic seat backs.

thats a great way, simple (everybody has bungees) and some guys are concerned about arcing and that wont happen with your solution. I like it alot!!!!!!!! good work

Heres a simple one i made. It only requires drilling one hole and fabricating the rod.

I like your idea the best. Very clever!

However, my idea is by far the easiest of all, albeit the most expensive. For a little over 2 grand you can install lithium batteries and never have to raise your seat for routine maintenance again.

Mine is voice activated and only requires that I feed it.
