Re: 2005 club car precedent wont move
could be speed sensor or m-cor related...........to check speed sensor .....with cart in gear and key on push cart by hand it should try and hold back and beep if its good if its bad cart will just roll free....................m-cor you,ll need a meter and need to do some testing....................

I just went through the same thing, its the Mcor. Do the test Tahoe Dawg suggested. Remove your floor panel to expose the MCOR. disconnect the harnes that has 2 wires and jump that connection with a paper clip. If the cart works relace the MCOR.

Re: 2005 club car precedent wont move
The jump test "jonitza" is describing is fine if your solenoid won't click. But yours clicks every time you hit the pedal right? If so, that test won't tell you a thing. This sounds more like a solenoid dropout of a motor stall to me. Bypass the solenoid switch by jumping the two large posts together, but careful not to touch anything else. I usually do this by laying a hammer across them. If it runs fine like this, replace the solenoid. If it doesn't, let me know and I'll explain the motor test procedure to you.

First tell me this.... What's the battery pack voltage? Resting voltage, and when you try to go, how low does it drop?

Re: 2005 club car precedent wont move
right now it is just 48 45% then drops to 47.9 my charger got stolen so let me get it charged up to 50.96 100%. so you dont think it mite be solennoid even though the solenoid test failed
thanks |

Re: 2005 club car precedent wont move
No, I don't think it's a solenoid issue. You bypassed it and it still didn't run.
Put car in TOW, Unhook battery pack, Remove all 4 wires from motor. Get a multimeter and set it to the Diode Test/Continuity setting. Check to ensure 100% continuity between A1 and A2, and also F1 to F2, and NOWHERE ELSE. If you've got continuity between ANY of these posts and the base of the motor you've located your problem. If you've got continuity between any A post and any F post you've located your problem. Post results. I have another thought after you try this. |
