Default 2009 precedent radio issue

Trying to get FM radio while I am going... As soon I stop it's fine, push the gas and it out again... Very expensive Sony marine grade radio, 4 6.5's no amp.

Any help or ideas to try.

I do have th rubber antenna, not sure but I think it need to be grounded. Of course not going to do that. Radio is running off one of the 4 12volt batters that runs the cart... I know get a converter...

Thanks guys

You're receiving interference from using the same power source as the cart's motor. I installed a seperate 12v AGM scooter battery and have no issues whatsover with FM.

You got it...Reducer or seperate battery is needed...to much draw is coming off that one battery when the motor is turning over..I get this constantly...48v-12v reducer and you fine...12v extra battery your fine but must be charged sep from the pack with a trickle charger...

Even with a reducer, I still have the same issue. I'm using an amplified car winshield antenna, but I'm planning to get get an external mast type, which I'm sure it will help.
