Default how to tell what kind of transaxle you have

hi i have an 05 ds club car and was wondering how i would tell what kind of transaxle i have? how do i tell the type Gs from the ks? thanks for your help.

The easiest way is to find the builder's plate, like this one:



To differentiate between the 2 piece and 3 piece axles, look at the bolt heads that hold the two halves together. If the bolts come in from the passenger side, toward the driver side, this is a 3 piece axle. This photo was taken from the rear of the cart, looking forward. Look at the bolts, the heads are on the right hand side of the diff(passenger side):

I thought I could be more clear with a better photo.

The circled bolt in this photo is the one that you use to determine if it's a 2 piece or 3 piece Graziano axle. This bolt head being on the passenger side indicates this is a 3 piece axle:

thanks that's very helpful i couldn't find the label at first due to the dirt and dust caked on.
