Anti-corrosion washers?
Just seen these on the web and was wondering if anyone can recommend them/if they work?
Likewise does anybody have andy other suggestions for preventing corrosion and other build up on battery posts? Many Thanks, DClark |

Re: Anti-corrosion washers?
Spray paint works well.
I do this to everything that has a battery, trucks, lawmnmower, golf cart, etc.. After you clean the posts, just spray them. |

Re: Anti-corrosion washers?
I clean the posts, then clamp the cables on and paint them.
You'll get a couple years with no corrosion at all. |

Re: Anti-corrosion washers?
I slathered ILSCO DE-OX on my battery posts before clamping down my cable lugs. That's the stuff you put on aluminum power cables coming into your breaker box.
After about 3 weeks, no sign of oxidation on my batteries. Other folks have had similar success just using vaseline. Hope that helps, RLW |
