Default Battery Indicator Light

Hey Guys,
I recently purchased an Elite dash for my 07 Precedent and did not want to put the rectangular low battery light back in. Can I replace this with just any 12V light? I picked up a small round amber light at Radio Shack but I can't get it to light straight from the battery so it concerns me.

Thanks,
George

I have not heard of anybody replacing the CC low battery indicator light.
Not sure But I think that the low battery battery indicator light may be higher voltage. Like 48? Not sure David might know.

is this a 48 volt cart? does it have orange battery light? if so and i,m just taking a shot from the hip but light and OBC do a little dance when needed and i,m not sure just any 12 volt light will work as its meant to with the OBC.......i,m guessing as this has never come up before but????...............................

Why dont you put a hand held meter to the wires feeding the factory light with a pair if small jumpers and then put the cart through its paces and see what voltage it reads as the OBC does its thing?????

. . . I imagine short answer is "yes" if voltage rating is same . . . however, no guarantee replacing it will not interfere with the Communication Display Module's ability to obtain data from the OBC . . .
