Split ring clip and a wiring harness plug. It is easier if you take off the rear wheel but not required. Easy peasy

The magnet is not part of the sensor system then? it just holds it on the cart? I thought if you removed the magnet it'd go into limp mode.

(goes off to look for drawings)

The magnet is attached to the end of the motor shaft. The sensor just sits there held in by a clip. If you remove the sensor, the cart will go into limp mode. If you change to an after market controller, you won't need that sensor anymore except to plug the hole in the end of the motor.

While I'd love to do that, my wife is unhappy about our $3200 cart that turned into a $4200 cart and doesn't want to spend much more money, so I'll start with the sensor :)

(I should add that only $780 was batteries, the rest was the personality chip, labor and taillights to bring it up to campground requirements)

Cart fixed. Still isn't quite as fast as she'd like, but it'll do 19 mph which is more than enough for our 10 mph campground.

Indeed, the fix *was* the speed sensor, wish the guy would have just replaced it. Oh well, it was pretty easy to get the cart up on jacks and remove the wheel. All the zip tying - not so much :)

Thanks all.
