Default PowerWise Charger Wire

I would like to keep my charger (36 volt) in my shed, while charging my cart, but the lead (36 volt end) is about 7 feet long, and I need about 16 feet. Would it be possible to just replace the wire with a longer one, and if so what size would be ok. It's a PowerWise 2 charger going to a 2007 EZGO PDS. thanks in advance. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I dont see where that would hurt anything.Just dont put an extension cord on the charger because it will lose to many amps.

JohnnyB has put a longer cord on his Accusense charger, & so have I. According to him, you should have no problem going with a 25' cord, as long as you use heavy enough wire. Here's what I used (at his recommendation), which is what came on our chargers from the manufacturer:

rewired mine with 10/3 20 ft, picked it up at home depot

powerwize 2 has three wires in its cord black white and pink. pink is to turn on charger when pluged into cart
