Default Drive train trouble

I'm flying blind as my mechanic friend is nowhere to be found at the moment. A 2001 TXT doesn't move, when you hit the gas, and motor spins you hear a whining or grinding type of sound. About to go to Harbor Freight to get some stands to get at the drive train, any tips would be appreciated.

YEP......the spline on your hub is striped.

Get a pair of the HD hubs from ScottyB at Carts Unlimited.

These carts come with "open" differentials, so all it takes is one stripped hub to stop working.

The nuts that hold on the drums should be torqued to 140flbs! Make sure to tighten it more if you need to line up the cotter pin hole.

actually, the spec in the manual states 90 ft-lbs, 140 ft-lbs max to line up the cotter pin holes. ( I just did a brake job 2 weeks ago )

Just becareful with the torque as the threads are fine.....

and when you are reinstalling the hub, ensure you put some anti-sieze on the splines of the hub and on the threads of the shaft.
