Thank you everyone for your help, I just didn't want to blow the converter. I tried the 12 volt connection but that didn't work so hopefully this will. I posted a picture on my profile of the batteries so it is difficult to tell which is the beginning of the series and which is the end. If this doesn't work I am back to running with a flashlight. Lol

Ok got the converter but can't determine the start and end of the battery wiring. Can someone look at the picture in my profile and tell me which is the first in the series and which is last? PLEASE I am running out of time.

Follow the wiring from your charger port. That should take you to the pos and neg end of the series.

If you look at the picture of the battery compartment in my profile it is hard to find the start and end of the charging series.

Done the lawn mower battery thing which mine, it was a used battery. Have headlights and radio on it, I get several hours out of a charge. I just charge it when I charge the cart, with a seperate 12v charger. When I upgrade to 48v I'll then change to a voltage reducer. Until then the extra battery will do fine...

I have been reading the post, and do not by any means too high jack the post. I was to thinking about purchasing a convertor. But I was given a lawn mower battery and going to do what Ronboy did. The question that I have is could I use two extra wires (jumpers) from the 12 volts that make up the 36 volt and charge my 12 volt lawn mower battery that I am using for my lights and radio. I know I am was using the 12 volt to run my lights and radio, why could I not use the 12 volt to charge my spare battery while I am using the 36 volt charger to charge my cart. I do not plan to hard wire it in. Just making some heavy duty jumpers to connect. This would save me from having or to forget to bring a 12 volt charge when camping. It was just a thought and if anyone else has done this.

In short......yes, you can do it, but you'll eventually ruin the two batteries that you've connected the 12v battery to, due to undercharging. You will have, in effect, changed the amp/hour rating of those two batteries. Your charger stops at a certain "total pack" voltage, & the extra battery will screw up the individual battery voltage for those two batteries.

So again in short......I wouldn't do it.

Thanks Knothead for the information. That is what I figured, adding the extra battery in would interfere with the 36 volt charger and sure do not want to purchase any batteries that are not needed..

NO !! your extra battery is not to be wired into your 36v system !! it is charged with a separate 12v charger it will really screw things up even jumping it into system
