golf bug info needed

i have a late 80's-early 90's GOLF BUG three wheel, single seat,tiller steer cart. when i bought it it had no batteries or batt cables, no throttle box, no key switch. i installed 2 deep cycle automotive batteries in series & spliced them to the existing charge plug, installed curtis pb-5 (0-5k )potentiometer, and a universal key switch. cart runs great but then...when cart sits a length of time (overnight or hrs) it wont go. turn key on volt meter comes on, reverse beeper will sound but cart wont go.if i turn key off, then on & hit throttle & repeat this cycle about 10 times then cart will jump...cycle key again cart will go a foot & stop...cycle key again it goes 2 feet & stop...then 5 feet & stop...then 10 feet...then finally it will just run fine and will run fine for hrs as long as you dont let it sit for a length of time...took it to 2 cart gurus & they were stumped. 24volt system is a curtis 1225-2702 controller, no solenoids, regenerative braking...tried to be as detailed as possible...anyone ever heard of this problem? would appreciate help...i even talked to curtis tech/troubleshooter guy & he was stumped

Does anyone have any info or literature on a golf bug brand electric cart? It's a real small single seat golf cart, 3 small wheels, tiller steer, 24v system, curtis 1225-2702 controller. Cant find any info on the web & no one has heard of it...am i the only 1 in the world that has one of these?
