These controllers are potted in resin which makes them water resistant. And if you look closely you'll see that they have an aluminum housing with cooling fins cut in them to dissipate heat.

Yes - resistant is the key word. None of these electronics are waterproof.
Do not pressure wash them and then call the dealer and ask why the controller quit for no reason.
