Default What is this wire?

So I probably should have asked this question right when I got the cart, but it has always been this way according to who had it last. But what the heck is this wire for? I am sure this is a very stupid question, but I have no idea. It seems that it should plug into something. It is connected on the other end to the charging receptacle.

It is the reed switch wire. It prevented driving cart while it was still plugged into charger. Someone has bypassed it as they should have. The reed switch isn't used on newer carts anymore.

He has a 95.5 TXT and has a reed switch. I have a 95 medalist and it never had one.

on some 95's (Medalists), don't have the reed switch, it was a mid year update when they went to the TXT and that function was added as a safety feature......

Also, the stacking on the battery stud is wrong.

The High Current cable should go on the stud first, then the charge cable.
