Motor issues on TXT
HI folks, I have a 2000 model TXT that has a whine in the motor.I took the motor off but cant really spin it by hand because of the bearing set up.The brushes look fine but the commentator looks a bit uneven and slightly discolored.Shoud I turn the commentator or use fine sandpaper?Im going to replace the bearings. Will the differientail input bearing come out if I remove the snap ring? Thanks for any help.

Re: Motor issues on TXT
Series or Sepex motor? (They all whine some.)
The front shaft is not supported, so don't try to run it out of the cart, but you should be able to turn the shaft by hand. The differential input shaft comes out as an assembly when the snap ring is removed. The input shaft has two bearings and a gear on it and there is an oil seal. |
