As we are in the prototype phase we could easily do a 36v pack. We just observed that the 48v pack was the more popular choice for manufacturers so that was where we were going to start.

How long do your lead acid cells last for? We were looking at a 2-3 year cycle if they were used on a regular basis (for a golf club). Our packs have a 10 year life which means they would last 3 times as long.

my experience is 5~6 years ... so that would not have any savings except in the distilled water, maybe wires, weight may be on your side too.. but not really a concern

i drive a 36v security cart every day 10~12 miles and plug it in everyday

i agree a real world test would give you a base for advertising

if your marketing is just to the newer 48v carts then your going to miss the guys like me that run older 36v carts
