To me when a cart's batteries approach 50% discharged the cart does feel sluggish. I don't always need a meter to tell me that. When a battery is at 50% discharge and a load is placed on it, the voltage drop is greater due to a increase in current. That voltage drop results in reduced speed from "normal".

I just can't understand people that drive carts until they won't even more anymore before recharging.

Besides dropping to 50%, I believe it is more damaging to leave it in that state for a week before charging. I can't believe I got 9 years out of them, after such abuse. I was able to keep up with my neighbors before replacing and upgrading, even with 4 passengers on a fully stock buggy. I did kill two solenoids, due to abuse.

if you buy a cart already lifted and modded....there is no fun left in my humble opinion!
