Default 04 TXT no movement

Hello. Trying to diagnose neighbor's cart. '04 TXT 36 volt with a series motor (no tow/run switch). He was driving the cart and got in to go, and nothing. He had a battery cable that broke, so he replaced all of them. After replacement - still nothing. I looked at it this morning, and after poking around, it did move at low speed until I pressed the pedal to the floor - then nothing and back to no movement at all.

I measured voltage of pack and it is 38.3v. The solenoid clicks when pedal is depressed. He has a curtis controller - p/n 25864G09.

I measured voltages to controller post: 1 on passenger side, 2 in middle, and three closest to battery.
1 to 2 is 38.2
1 to 3 is 37.8
2 to 3 is .02
With pedal depressed
1 to 2 - 38.2
1 to 3 38.2
2 to 3 is 0.0

Measured F/R switches - 1 is left most post and 4 is nearest battery pack:
1 - 2 is 38.3
1 - 3 is 38.3
1 - 4 is 38.3
When switched to reverse, 1 - 2 is 0.0.

Here are numbers on solenoid: (1 on left large post and 4 on right large post)
1-2 38
1-3 38
1-4 0.0
4-1 0.00
4-3 38
4-2 38
With pedal depressed:
1-2 0.0
1-3 38
4-2 0.0
4-3 38

What's it all mean?

Default Re: 04 TXT no movement

Unless otherwise specified, all voltage measurements should be made with the DVM's negative test lead attached to the main Negative terminal on the battery pack.

Since the solenoid clicks, the problem is in the high current circuit.

Lift rear wheels off ground and put on jackstands so the half ton cart doesn't take off unexpectedly and run over someone or something.

This is one of those "otherwise specified" measurements.
Connect DVM between the B- and M- terminals on controller.

Press pedal only far enough for solenoid to click.
You should read FULL battery pack voltage.
If not, trace the circuit highlighted in red on the attached schematic until you find the voltage. (Shown with F/R in F)
