If I were you I wouldn't get a AXE-4865P (Alltrax) controller.

The Alltrax AXE line of controllers haven't been made for years. They are 3 generations old having been replaced by the SPM line and now the SR lines. The 4865p was a 600amp model and probably overkill for your use unless going to large tires with lift like a hunting cart.
If they are really using an AXE controller something is amiss. Either has to be used or really really old new stock. It should be sold at an extreme discount if at all, really IMO

And Oh by the way: the AXE line along with the SPM and SR are all "series" controllers. NOT compatible with your cart (2013 Precedent) which is "sepex"

Hmmm. We'll well have to wait to see what I get. Again, the info I was getting from them was squishy. They seem like good people that will do me right. They said D&D Motors matched the set for them knowing what my cart was and what it had and didn't and my need for some torque because my neighborhood has lots of steep hills.

They know alot more about carts than I do cause that's all they work on. Yall know a heck of alot more than I do as I'm new to messing with carts. I pride myself on being a quick learner though. HAHAHA. I haven't blown anything up on it yet.... yet....

I'll post back on this thread when I get it back as I'll try and get boxes of the stuff they put on.

Just the A1 and A2 cables. The F1 and F2 cables can be left alone.

The field rating with an Alltrax Controller is 50 Amps. I suspect it is the same for other high current controllers as well. While you're in there and the wires are there you might as well go ahead and replace those wires. The higher hp motors need them. That's why F1 & F2 have 5/16" studs

Good information. I never considered the upgraded motors etc.

Probably a bit of overkill but I use 2 gauge on everything. Not that much more expensive than 4 gauge.

So when making the change from 6 to 2 gauge, how are the leads transferred? Cut and put them on the post?

What would happen if the factory 6awg negative stayed as is (going through the OBC) and all of the other wires were upgraded to 4awg?
