Yes..You need an oem level programmer to change the settings..There are 3 settings...
0=Motor braking off...2=mild...3=aggressive...

Hi, is there any way of increasing the braking, I live in a very hilly area and need as much engine braking as possible?

As per the answer from movin-on, set it to aggressive.

You'll have to find some one with a programmer to do it.

If You have a speed magnet installed The controller will not sense the correct speed to activate the Regenerative Brake.

The ability to customize your settings without having to pay someone with a "Programmer" is a great feature of the Alltrax controller.

It also provides a lot more Regen brake flexibility.

And even the Aggressive setting on a Curtis Programmer will not be as strong as what you can make with the Alltrax

The aggressive setting on my 2017 Precedent will lift you out of your seat from a quick pedal up.. I set it to mild and it is perfect for me...
