Default Powerdrive charger won't stop charging

I have a 2000 CC with brand new 8 volt Trojan batteries. When I plug the charger in the needle on the charger clicks up to about 20. Then it goes to 0 and back to 20. I think this is the way it is supposed to work. The Charger charges the batteries untill needle reaches 4. By this time you can hear the batteries boiling. But it won't go to 0 and shut off. Does this mean I have a bad OBC.

Search for OBC reset proceedure found this ...... worth a try

Reset the OBC and try charging again.

OBC reset
1.Remove the positive and negative cables from the pack
2. Place the F/R switch in reverse
3. Slowly press the pedal down and hold it for a minute or so. Reverse buzzer should sound until all the power has dissipated from the OBC

Thats "supposed" to reset the OBC. Thanks Roady

Thanks for the OBC reset Instructions Scottyb. I did this and it seems to be shutting off like it is supposed to.
