Default G16 starting mode stays on

I use my G16 a ton, everyday and have been for 10 years.

Just yesterday, went to park it and when I hit the brake, the brake didn't lock and the starter stayed running.

Once I turned the key off, the starter disengaged.

My guess, probably a throttle pedal adjustment, but thought I would check here before getting under it since there is so much knowledge that has always been helpful.

I did a quick search and didn't find anything, but thanks very much in advance for any help.

The next time you stop and it continues to run pull back on the throttle pedal with your toe and see if it stops.
If it does, your throttle pedal is sticking on the pivot bolt and needs a good cleaning,
If it doesn't stop then your stop switch needs to be cleaned and or replaced.
No need to get under it, It is on a bracket below the floor access panel.
Sometimes a shot of PB blaster will free it up along with pushing it in and out quickly, maybe some compressed air to help clean the plunger.

Thank you so very much! This place rocks, hopefully I can help you out someday. I will update tomorrow with what I find due to your help!

Well that was easy, actually I am kind of embarassed, a little piece of stick had lodged under the gas pedal so it could not return all the way and it was hard to see.

thanks again for your help though, I have documented it for the future.

At least you found it. I've seen lots of similar things: twigs, golf tees, score card pencils and more get stuck down in there.

It's like the Abyss between your driver seat and console, whatever you drop, where ever you drop it, it always goes down there!!!
Glad you got it.

You would think after using this cart almost everday for ten years I would have known that.

It is literally just about my favorite and most important posession. It is parked most days on a hill, my driveway, just like my avatar and the brake would not lock. I was stunned as it started rolling backwards.
